Edgbaston Park Hotel and Conference centre leads the way in Smart Staffing

LONDON, UK – 14 September 2018. Edgbaston Park Hotel and Conference Centre, Birmingham’s new four-star hotel and conference centre, is deploying cutting-edge digital technology as part of its HR and operations strategies.

Edgbaston Park Hotel and Conference Centre is using the Catapult online platform to find skilled local people for part-time shifts in front of house, concierge, conference, and food and beverage roles.

Catapult was introduced as the online staffing platform as an integral part of Edgbaston recruitment strategy following its official opening on Saturday 1 September 2018. Catapult uses artificial intelligence to match part-time people to the perfect part-time jobs in the hospitality and retail sectors.

Recently appointed Conference and Banqueting Manager Michael Cunningham said: “Ensuring we can meet the needs of our guests is paramount at all times, but never more so than during our opening period. By using Catapult we are building a workforce of qualified, local, part-time people who can take up shift work when it’s right for them. At the same, it gives us the flexibility to staff up during peak periods and achieve the perfect staffing balance to provide a first-class service at all times.”
